SIKKIM MOUNTAIN BIKING COMPETITION 2018

Government of India will commemorate the 150th Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Father of the Nation, during the period from 2nd October 2019 to 2nd October 2020. It has been decided to celebrate the event at both national and international levels, to propagate the message of the Mahatma Gandhi. The Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, Government of Sikkim organized Sikkim Mountain Biking Competitions on 25th November 2018 to commemorate Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. Total 40 participants from Sikkim and other states participated in this competition. 
Shri Pincho Chopel, Hon’ble Area MLA of Gangtok Constituency was the Chief Guest of the programme to Flag off the Mountain Biking Competitions from M.G. Marg. The Old Rumtek Gumpa complex was the finishing point of the competition. Lunch was provided to all after completion of the Race. Shri S.D. Dhakal Secretary Sports & Youth Affairs, Directors and all officers were present in the function to give away the prizes to the winners. The programme was concluded with vote of thanks by Shri Kunzang Gyatso Bhutia, Nodal Officer of the programme.
